PM Modi announces August 23 as ‘National Space Day’

PM Modi went directly to Bangalore from Greece to meet and congratulate ISRO scientists. He congratulated the Chandrayaan-3 heroes who were involved with this mission. He addressed the scientists in the ISRO command center.

On Saturday PM Modi announced August 23 to be celebrated as “National Space Day.”

It was a big win for India. Chandrayaan-3 successfully made its soft landing on the moon on the 23rd of August.

Commendable the efforts of the woman scientists who were involved in this mission and the soft landing on the moon

PM Modi also declared that the name of the point on which Chandrayaan-3 landed on the moon will be “Shivshakti”.

He also said,

Women scientists played a key role in Chandrayaan-3, ‘Shivshakti’ point will inspire the upcoming generations to use science for the welfare of people. The welfare of people is our supreme commitment.
